This is where things start to get bad in our home. This is when my father began to date a new woman who also had 4 children, three girls, and a boy.

The children's cry
Just when you think your life is so good, and everything is just the way it should be, something seems to always come along and changes everything. When you are six years old, if life is great you think it will always be great. You got mom and dad and all the love you need. Then suddenly and out of nowhere your life gets turned upside down. I had two sisters and a brother and nobody prepared us for what happened next. We did not even know that mom and dad stopped loving each other. I don't remember them ever fighting so when they told us they were getting a divorce we couldn't understand why. I went to my mom and asked my mom a question that a 6-year-old would ask; if she still loved my dad she told me yes she did. So I ran into the living room where my dad was sitting and I asked him if he still loved my mom and he said yes he did. I walked away confused and deep down I thought, maybe it was my fault.
